Wellspring Annual Camp Out
We are beginning an annual Camp out behind the church in the “Grassy Knoll” down by the fire pit every year at Wellspring at the Cross. This year we are going to have a camp out the same day as Cheesefest. We have decided on this Saturday because it will be awesome to watch the lights and going ons of the event plus every so often they have fireworks over the river! And during that time we can pray for those attending. On June 4th beginning at 4:00pm. We will set up our tents and then begin a fire for cooking dinner. Please bring your own food, meat to grill and other snacks and drinks. We will have the fire/grill ready. We will have worship around the camp fire in the evening and then fellowship time as we watch the Cheesefest happenings and intermittently praying for the city. Feel free to come early especially is the weather is awesome!
What to Bring
You will need to bring a tent for your family which should include sleeping bags, pillows, flash lights, bug spray, meat to grill, snack and drinks. We will be having some-mores and marshmallows for toasting but food and drink will be yours to bring. We have wood to burn and glow sticks and sparklers. The bathrooms in the church will be open and available. If weather gets bad we will just send everyone home and will reschedule. We are also looking to schedule a camping event in the fall when the bees subside. so be watching the Facebook wall for dates and times. If you are bringing small children make sure that they do not go beyond the rail road tracks. The river is very dangerous where the church is located. We are quite close to the locks which make the river treacherous with deadly undercurrents. So supervision of your children is paramount.
